Solar & Home Battery Installation in Indiana
Indiana utilities now credit the power you export at about 4¢ per kWh — and charge you about 15¢ to buy it back. We design systems that keep your energy in your house instead of selling it to the grid at a discount.

Indiana changed the rules. Most solar pitches haven’t caught up.
Until 2022, Indiana’s largest utilities — AES Indiana, Duke Energy Indiana, NIPSCO, CenterPoint, and Indiana Michigan Power — credited rooftop solar at the full retail rate under net metering. For new systems, that’s over. You’re now enrolled in Excess Distributed Generation (EDG), which credits exported power at roughly 3–5¢ per kWh while you keep buying electricity back at 14–17¢.
On top of that, the 30% federal residential solar tax credit (Section 25D) expired on December 31, 2025. A system you buy outright today earns no federal credit. Any installer still leading with “30% off” is selling you something that no longer exists.
Here’s what actually follows from that: a system designed to push power onto the grid is now the wrong system for Indiana. The right one is a system you consume yourself — a right-sized array, battery storage that holds the afternoon’s production for the evening, and controls that decide where every kilowatt-hour goes. That’s the design we’ve been building for years. We call it NanoGrid.
What’s still on the table in Indiana
Sales tax exemption
Qualifying solar equipment is exempt from Indiana sales tax — applied automatically at purchase, no paperwork, no income limit.
Property tax exemption
Your system’s value is deducted from your assessed property value via State Form 18865. Your taxes don’t go up because you went solar.
Zero-down financing
We offer $0-down financing on any energy efficiency upgrade when paired with solar.
Local rebates
Some Indiana municipalities run their own solar and battery rebate programs. We’ll check what applies to your address.
What We Install
Four systems that work as one. Add them all at once or build up over time — every install is designed so the next piece drops in without rework.
Simple
Solar Panel Installation
Rooftop and ground-mount arrays sized to your actual usage, not to a sales quota. Permitting, utility interconnection, and inspection handled start to finish. 25-year product warranty, 10-year workmanship warranty.
Secure
Home Battery Storage & Backup
The piece that makes solar work under Indiana’s EDG rules. Store your midday production and use it at night at full retail value instead of exporting it at 4¢. Keeps your critical circuits running through an outage.
Smart
Energy Controls & Monitoring
See what every circuit in your house is doing, from your phone. Controls route production to your loads and your battery first, so you export as little as possible.

How It Works
Three steps, no pressure, no obligation. Most homeowners are through step one in under 45 minutes.
01
Free Home Assessment
We pull 12 months of your utility usage, check your roof, shading, and panel capacity, and tell you plainly whether solar makes sense for your house. Sometimes the answer is no. We’ll say so.
02
Your Energy Plan & Fixed Quote
A written design showing array size, battery capacity, projected production, your EDG exposure, and a fixed price. Financing options laid out side by side so you can compare monthly cost against your current bill.
03
We Install & Handle The Paperwork
Our own crews, not subcontractors. We file the permits, manage utility interconnection, schedule inspection, and stay on the account until your system is switched on and producing.

Why Homeowners Pick Rectify
Certified, Not Just Licensed
Our founder holds NABCEP Advanced certification — the highest credential in the trade, and rare in this market. We’re OSHA safety trained and EPA Lead-Safe certified, and Phil sits on the board of the Indiana Renewable Energy Association.
Local & Family-Owned
We’re headquartered in Indianapolis and we’ve been here over a decade. National installers route your call to a call center in another state and subcontract the labor. When something needs fixing in year seven, we’re still the ones picking up.
We Design For Today’s Rules
Most quotes you’ll get are still sized for retail net metering, which Indiana no longer offers. We size for self-consumption and model your actual EDG exposure — so the savings on our proposal are the savings you get.
Financing That Fits
With the federal residential credit gone, how you pay for solar matters more than it used to. We’ll walk you through every option and show the monthly math against your current utility bill — including whether waiting is the better call for you.
